Optional referral measurement

If you opt in through the marketing footer’s Optional referral measurement control, we store first-visit campaign labels, the landing-page path, referring hostname and visit time in your browser for up to 30 days. If you create an account during that period, we may save this information with your account to understand which sources lead to signups. We do not collect the full referring URL or use advertising trackers for this measurement. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control preferences disable collection. You can clear browser data and request deletion of your signed-in account’s referral record using the same control, or contact ask@mountainsoftllc.com. Account-linked records otherwise remain until account deletion.

Information we process

We process customer account details, submitted feedback, votes, screenshots, billing status, and limited diagnostic context that requesters can review and remove before sending.

When a customer chooses Google or GitHub sign-in, the provider gives us an account identifier, profile name, email address, profile image, and the OAuth credentials needed to establish and maintain the sign-in connection. We request only basic identity scopes and do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, repositories, or other account content.

What the widget does not collect

The widget does not collect page contents, cookies, access tokens, form values, or arbitrary local-storage values.

How information is used and shared

We use information to provide, secure, support, and bill for the service. Cloudflare hosts the application and stored data, Google or GitHub provides account sign-in, and Stripe processes payments. OAuth identity data is used only for authentication, account security, and displaying the customer account; it is not used for advertising or sold. We share it only with service providers needed to operate the service or when required by law.

Retention and choices

Project owners moderate feedback. Customers may delete requests and screenshots subject to short operational backup and abuse-prevention periods. The MVP does not collect requester email addresses or send requester notification emails.

Customers may request deletion of their Simple Feature Board account and associated Google or GitHub sign-in data by emailing ask@mountainsoftllc.com.
